DIAMOND SQUID SWIM TRUNKS
$85.00

This print is based on photographs of a single Diamond Squid encountered in Cozumel in July 2025. Although missing one arm, it remained active and curious, creating an unusually close and memorable encounter.

The Diamond Squid (Thysanoteuthis rhombus) has large fins that extend along much of its mantle, giving its body the distinctive diamond-like shape behind its common name.

This design preserves the story of one individual animal and transforms a fleeting encounter into a pattern meant to travel far beyond the water.

Lightweight and quick-drying, these swim trunks are designed for comfort both in and out of the water.

• Comfortable, relaxed fit
• Quick-drying fabric
• Elastic waistband with adjustable drawstring
• UPF 50+ protection
• Made with recycled materials
• OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified
• GRS certified recycled content

PLANKTONIC SOUP RECYCLED LEGGINGS W/POCKETS
$85.00

This print is a collection of some of the strange, delicate, and wonderfully alien organisms encountered in the planktonic community. Larval fish, drifting invertebrates, gelatinous animals, and other tiny ocean wanderers come together to create a snapshot of life suspended in the open water.

Plankton form the foundation of ocean food webs, supporting life from microscopic larvae to the largest marine animals.

Although many planktonic organisms are tiny, together they support some of the largest and most complex ecosystems on Earth.

Super soft and stretchy, these semi-compression leggings feature a high-waisted, flattering cut and two side pockets.

• Tight fit
• High-waisted, flattering cut
• Two side pockets
• UPF 50+ protection
• 74% recycled polyester
• OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified
• GRS certified recycled content

HYDROZOA ONE-PIECE SWIMSUIT
$75.00

This print features Eutiara mayeri, a delicate hydrozoan medusa photographed during a blackwater dive in Cozumel, Mexico. Nearly transparent, this remarkable species reveals its internal anatomy through its crystal-clear bell, while its long trailing tentacles drift gracefully through the water. Like many hydrozoan medusae, it spends its life suspended in the open ocean as part of the planktonic community.

Encounters with Eutiara mayeri are uncommon, and their fragile and stinging bodies make each observation both brief and extraordinary.

Captured through blackwater photography, this pattern preserves the elegance and intricate beauty of a species that few people will ever have the opportunity to see in its natural environment.

With a scoop neckline, low-scoop back, and cheeky fit, this one-piece combines bold imagery with everyday comfort. Made with recycled materials, it is designed to be worn again and again.

• Cheeky fit
• Scoop neckline and low-scoop back
• UPF 50+ protection, blocking 98% of harmful rays
• 75% recycled polyester, 25% elastane
• OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified
• GRS certified recycled content

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Every night, billions of beautiful creatures rise from the deep ocean towards the surface. Almost nobody knows this is happening.
Let’s change that.

My name is Frida Yolotzin. Mexican biologist, scuba instructor, and blackwater photographer based in Cozumel. I specialize in the marine organisms most people never get to see  like jellyfish, deep sea fish, squids and the countless other planktonic animals that drift through the open ocean in the dark.

Daily vertical migration is one of the largest animal movements on Earth — and one of the most invisible. But these animals they are too important to be invisible, they are key in the cycle of life on earth.
Let’s talk about them.

Every Planktonic piece is printed with a real wildlife photography, on recycled fabric made from plastic bottles — UPF 50+ rated, so you protect your skin without sunscreen chemicals that bleach coral reefs.
